Birrong Baseball Club
Birrong Baseball Club is a club set in Sydney South West and is a predominately winter club for senior baseball.
Birrong is an affiliated club of the Birrong Bowling and Sports Club.
Birrong Baseball Club and Mustangs Baseball Clubs are sister feeder clubs.
The club has been in existence for over 40 years with players from all over the world playing for us at different stages.
We have had players coming from Japan, Netherlands, USA, Austria and of course Australia playing for the club.
We have players that have played in Major League organisations in USA.
We have a great tradition in the club to develop junior players that go on in summer to play in a Major League Club.
This club has an affiliation with Mustangs Baseball Club and the juniors from there are always welcome to play in this club to serve their apprenticeship in
senior baseball.
We were club champions on no less than 5 occasions when we played in Cumberland – Blacktown competition, but have since moved to play in the Sydney Metro competition.
We have sent teams to Port Macquarie Easter tournament and have been successful on 2 occasions in 1st grade, 1 occasion in 2nd Grade and also won the Masters on a single occasion.
We in the club have competent players that are only too willing to train and mentor our younger players.
The home ground for Birrong Baseball is Boggabilla Reserve Bass Hill.
On any weekend you can go to Boggabilla Reserve and watch the teams from Birrong play.
Congratulations
